You can support the sangha living in Thosamling. At present the nuns living in Thosamling must contribute for their food cost since we do not have the funds to support them. Our wish is to make it possible to support at least monastics to start with.

The cost of supporting a nun are:

Rs.250/USD3 per day
Rs.7,500/USD90 per month
Rs.90,000/USD1080 per year

If you have a skill, you can also offer your services to Thosamling in the following ways:

IT support: We need someone skilled to keep our website updated, share events happening on Facebook, Instagram, and other applications, record audio and videos of courses and retreat, and share them on our YouTube channel; handle the sound system and internet connections; broadcast updates through Mailchimp, content development, data archival and any other IT related things.

Housekeeping support: To maintain our facilities including timely preparation of rooms for courses and retreats, ensure all electrical, plumbing, etc is in proper working condition at all times.

Kitchen support: This person will help in developing menus with local ingredients and teach the kitchen staff to provide simple nutritious and tasty meals suitable for all dietary needs for residents and guests at minimal cost.

Centre Manager/Administrator: This person will oversee the various functions and ensure smooth running of the centre under the guidance of the abbess. This person will be responsible for the overall smooth running of the centre. Prior experience of running a dharma centre is preferable.

These are all full-time responsibilities. You need to make a commitment to work 6 days a week. We ask for a minimum commitment of 3-6 months unless otherwise agreed upon.

You will be provided food and board during your stay. You can participate in our courses too if they do not conflict with work. You can also attend the teachings of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Mcleodganj while you are here.
