Alliance of Non Himalayan Nuns Gathering at Thosamling, 3-24 March, 2024
In March 2024, Thosamling will host for three weeks a gathering of non-Himalayan nuns. This is a unique opportunity to congregate, share individual perspectives, and gain community support. We will train, practice, discuss and support each other during these weeks, and establish and nourish connections with our Dharma sisters.
After this gathering there is the opportunity for a one-week pilgrimage.
What?
We are organizing a gathering for Non-Himalayan Nuns ordained in any lineage of the Tibetan Buddhist Tradition.
Why?
To gather, discuss and come up with solutions for the situations most Non-Himalayan Nuns face these days: Not being part of a monastic Sangha, staying alone and isolated, not receiving enough support from the lay community.

05:30 AM – Wake up
05:45 – 06:30 AM – Morning Practice: Prayers & Shamatha Meditation
07:00 – 08:00 AM – Breakfast
09:00 – 11:00 AM – First Session
11:45 – 12:30 PM – Lunch
12:30 – 01:45 PM –Rest /Walking Meditation / Art
02:00 – 04:00 PM – Afternoon Teachings
04:00 – 05:00 PM – Break
05:00 – 05:30 PM – Light Meal
06:00 – 07:00 PM – Evening Practice
