Introduction to Buddhism
Topic: Four Noble Truths
16 – 20 April 2025
with Geshe Ngawang Thekchok
How do we start to make sense of the sufferings we face, and how can we find a way through them? Life’s challenges can often feel overwhelming and confusing, yet within each of us lies the strength to find understanding and resilience. How can the Buddha’s teachings help us to navigate the pain to find hope and healing?
The Four Noble Truths, delivered as the first sermon by the Buddha, serves as a fundamental guide to the core teachings of Buddhism. It underpins the philosophy and practice of the Buddhist tradition.
Geshe Ngawang Thekchok will guide participants through a comprehensive exploration of each Truth—suffering, its origins, its cessation, and the path to liberation. This course will examine how recognising and addressing suffering can foster personal transformation and offer deeper insights into the human experience.
