Eight verses on Mind Training
26 – 30 April

The essential meaning of the teachings on mind transformation is that we recognize that our true enemy lies within ourselves, and not outside.
We all experience moments of hurt, disappointment and anger. These emotions stem from a deep desire to protect ourselves and put our interests first. At the moment we grasp at our “self” as being a real, independent entity that we need to defend from dangers, and nourish with what it wants to have. We not only grasp at this intrinsically real “self” as if it is our true being, but we also cherish the welfare of this true “me” at the expense of all others. It is this self-cherishing attitude that opens us to these painful and undesirable experiences.
But what if we could change our way of thinking? What if we could focus more on others and less on ourselves?
Geshe Langri Thangpa’s Eight Verses on Mind Training challenges us to do just that. By embracing compassion and kindness towards others, we can find greater peace and happiness in ourlives. It is a powerful reminder that we can change our mindset, and in doing so, we can inspire others to do the same. Join Geshema Dawa Dolma La in this 5-day course and discover how you can cultivate these practices to transform your daily habits.
This course is taught by our resident Geshema Dawa Dolma, who is well known for her down to earth approach, and her understanding of the modern mind.
