Nature and Reality of Our Existence

The Twelve Links of Dependent Origination

17 – 21 July

with Geshe Ngawang Thekchok

As we grow up, we learn to value our independence and prioritize our identity, work, and relationships. It’s natural to believe that we are acting in our own best interest, but sometimes this mindset can cause harm to ourselves and those around us. We may not realize that our actions and decisions are interconnected with the world we live in. The truth is, we are all interdependent and our problems and obstacles in life can only be overcome by recognizing this reality of dependent origination. Dependent origination and Emptiness are often seen as complicated philosophical concepts that are difficult to understand. Consequently, we do not fully appreciate the profound implications of these teachings of the Buddha.

Geshe Ngawang Thekchok presents a practical approach to help us understand these complex topics through the Twelve Links of Dependent Origination. We can easily and effectively investigate our interconnected realities. We will explore how various mental states influence each other over time and how we can improve our relationship with nature and environment.
