Morning

We start the Open Day with a teaching from Tsenshab Serkong Rinpoche on Taming the Deluded Mind.

Tsenshab Serkong Rinpoche was born at Lari village in Spiti Valley in India in 1984. He is recognized by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama as the reincarnation of Tsenshap Serkong Rinpoche. At the age of six, he commenced his studies at Ganden Jangtse Monastery in South India, and he continued his education at the Institute of Buddhist Dialectics in Dharamsala, where he attained the status of Master of Madhyamika Buddhist Philosophy. After a period studying English in Canada, he is now based in Dharamsala, where he is continuing his studies in higher Buddhist training. He teaches Buddhist philosophy in India and abroad.

Afternoon

We invite you to stay at Thosamling after the teaching so that you can get to know us and what we are doing.

Around 12 PM we can enjoy a delicious lunch, which needs to be booked by Saturday 11 March 12 PM. We ask a contribution of 200 INR to cover the cost to be paid in the office when you arrive at Thosamling.

After lunch we take you on a tour, and show you our premises. We will guide you from the temple to the library and HH Dalai Lama’s room.

In the temple we’ll explain you our program for 2023 and what study, courses, and retreats you can do at Thosamling. We’ll show you our accommodation, our gardens, including our organic vegetable garden, and our chickens.

We close our Open Day with a guided meditation so that you can get a feel of what it is to meditate at Thosamling Nunnery.

You can book your lunch by emailing us at [email protected].

We hope to see you at our Open Day on 12 March!
